Northridge/American Legion/Schneider Resurfacing Segments

The City of Portage will be resurfacing segments of Northridge Drive (New Pinery Road to Village Road/American Legion Drive), American Legion Drive (Northridge Drive to Walmart parking lot), and Schneider Street (Haertel Street to Albert Street), starting on or around August 19th, 2025. During the project, Northridge Drive (New Pinery Road to Village Drive/American Legion Drive), will remain closed to ALL TRAFFIC. The roadways of American Legion Drive (Northridge Drive to Walmart parking lot), and Schneider Street (Haertel Street to Albert Street) will remain closed to through traffic, meaning the only traffic permissible will be for driveway access falling within the project limits. Road closure signage will be placed in advance of the closures to assist with vehicle detouring. Work is expected to last +/- 2 weeks dependent on weather. The City will be hosting a Public Informational Meeting on August 13th from 5:00PM to 6:00PM, for residents affected by the construction to ask questions relating to the project.
