Public Works Department

The Department of Public Works is responsible for planning/design, construction and maintenance of the City’s infrastructure. The department is broken down into multiple divisions which include, Utilities (Water & Sanitary), Streets, and Engineering.

Notice to Commercial Contractors:
- The asphalt and concrete drop off areas located at the City Garage is only available for contractors working on projects for the City.

- The brush drop off site on Airport Road and wood drop off site on Currie Road are only available to Portage residents.
